I have finally freed my self from the contract I had with 3
What provider would you recommend?
Thanks

I'd get a PYG SIM from each of them, put a tenner on them then use them all in the places you plan on being. I find signal shocking around town lately on EE, yet when it was orange I was fine. Odd considering they have a mast in town itself! O2 can't get a signal within 10' of my house, EE can but only upstairs in 2 rooms. Its a bloody minefield.

Sim only with 3. A gazillion minutes and text and unlimited data for £15pm. 3 will also not be raising their prices when they start introducing 4G at the end of the year.

I can only get signal with 3 in the back bedrooms upstairs in my house (and then it puts my home broadband speed to shame!). An easy work around is I simply use a profile app to automatically divert all calls to my Skype number, when in the vicinity of my house and with wifi active and then life continues as normal.

I have just moved from O2 to EE after over 10 years with O2.

Signal strength is ok at home (where I work) so I can make and receive calls without any problems. I have seen 4G pretty much everywhere I have been in Stafford. Speeds have been about 15Mb download and near enough the same upload. In Birmingham I've seen speeds of 35Mb!

Only issue I have had with EE is an incorrect voicemail setting which caused a few calls to go straight to voicemail (an issue I also had with O2 but they couldn't fix it). A call to EE customer services resulted in new settings being applied to my iPhone and I haven't had the problem since.

Overall I've been very happy with EE in the 6 weeks I've been with them.

Have a look at m-viron if you are considering a contract. They can often better the networks own deals and they customer service is second-to-none. They have some seriously nice folk working for them.

There's a branch in Stafford.

I'm sure they do.. I've walked past it half a dozen times but I don't know the area well enough to say exactly where it is. It's in Staffs Town Centre. Not far from McDonalds.

I'll find out the address of the branch and let you know.

Hmm. I've only been to Stone once so far and I don't remember seeing it there.
I've emailed one of their guys I know and pointed him at this thread anyways.

If there isn't a branch now in Stafford then I'll hang up my hat and admit that I'm going senile.

I've walked past it and debated going in for a mooch! The only time I've been in Stone has been on a Sunday afternoon after visiting the food festival. I've got a picture somewhere showing most the high street closed. So no idea how I've confused myself over this one.

Feet haven't touched the ground since I've moved down here though - still supporting the old business I worked for as well as launching my own business, it could just be my mind playing tricks on me.

You just sit quietly - the nurse will be along in a minute...

O2's customer service is shocking (but at least they speak English)

EE's customer service is "interesting". You can speak to someone in India for free or to someone in England at 50p a minute! At least thats what happens on the Orange side of things.

I've spoken to EE customer service twice and both times it's been an English person. I do have a business account so I don't know if that is anything to do with it.
