JUICE Comedy returns with a show of new material from professional and up & coming comedians!

Located at Number Fifteen cafe/bistro on Greengate Street (opposite The Swan Hotel) the show will feature performances from 6 comedians, including talented professionals Paul Savage and Liam Pickford.

JUICE will also be welcoming Steve Bugeja to Stafford. Steve won the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award in 2013. Previous winners of this top prize have included Alan Carr, Marcus Brigstocke and Rhod Gilbert.

As well as performing stand-up at Britain's top comedy clubs, Steve has also written for Mock The Week, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Russell Howard's Good News and the Radio 4 News Quiz.

As ever, this new material show is free to the public. Doors open at 7:30, shows starts at 8pm. Once the show has begun, no new admittance will be possible, so arrive on time.

I find this policy both harsh and confusing. Not to mention limiting, though i quite clearly just did.

Why so?

I imagine that it could be because of the layout, entrants have to pass across, or at least very close to, the stage area.

Yes but there are intervals - a number of them - it is in such intervals that one would hope to ingress.

Oh yes, obviously folks can join in once we're having a lovely break. But due to our laissez-faire/boho attitude, we have no idea when these breaks will fall, and thusly cannot advise people when they should be hanging around the front door on the off-chance of getting in. Also, that's an awfully long-winded thing to try and cram into a succinct press release.

We find it infinitely easier to urge people to arrive on time, like what you do for a theatrical performance or comedy show which you've paid for (or cinema showing, dinner reservation, 90% of all live entertainment, going to a dinner party at a friend's house etc. etc.)

...we have no idea when these breaks will fall, and thusly cannot advise people when they should be hanging around the front door ...

That's good enough for me.

If all this subsequent bravado stems from the wonderment as to how i managed to smuggle one of your acts into the joint betwixt spots, many whilsts ago now, then i'm happy to apologise and reveal how i got him in.

I wouldn't have done it if he hadn't come over all anxious like. I was more than happy to wait it out - he was not...

Really enjoyed that. The fellow at the end was riotous - next time he comes we should throw gillets at him in appreciation.

In all the thankings going on at the end one was missed - many thanks juice-comedy. :)

Very pleased you enjoyed the show, Withnail, thank you for coming. We know it's a bit of a pain if you can't make it for 8/8:30 so thanks for making the effort.

The chap on at the end is Liam Pickford. He's ridiculously talented and young enough to go far in the business. We think he's the next Johnny Vegas. He'll be back very soon at JUICE.
