Monday night courage (Cheap Date II)

So once again I find myself taking a lovely lady out on a date (actually, our second), and need a recommendation of somewhere nice to drink after dinner on Monday evening. I haven't been out in Stafford in years!

Off the top of my head.. The Swan, Market Vaults, Post house.... any advance on those?

I called in to the Post House on Friday, menu has changed, possibly good pub grub at a reasonable price, they've had a move around and cocktail bar upstairs is lovely.

I'd be interested in food opinions when a few people have checked it out.

Pizza Express, though not hugely exciting has the best Prosecco in town, food and service is always good and if you're really after a cheap date you can pay with clubcard vouchers, start as you mean to geo on

Personally my favourite pubs are the Rose and Crown and Joxers, fab burger and a few pints.

We're eating at Vivere and then s/mooching into town. She's catching the train back (depending on how well it goes ) so in town is where we need to be really.

I think the Apothecary would be the right sort of place to head to after a meal at Vivere.

Then you can have a romantic stroll through the park with the drunks and druggies on the way to the station.
