I imagine that a current licence would at least tell the new company that it's probable that a licence would be granted.

Morrisons lack of activity with this store strikes me as strange behaviour which is why I have my doubts they will actually open.

We were told September by the council, but that's pretty much impossible given Morrison's haven't started recruiting yet. I guess maybe the council don't know themselves...

What we do not know are what morrisons are thinking.

it is dragging out but mear in mind the car park was finished being pained last week - 5 MONTHS behind schedule thanks to the riverside car park being late.

good job morrisons didn't have a date or recruited because they would have been screwed

it is possible they are waiting for the development to be finished entirely.

These companies rarely announce date for opening as such developments always run behind. Look at riverside, it is only in the last 3/ 4 weeks stores opening have been announced a number of which open next week.

river island was only announced last week for the new store next week.

on the initial plans morrisons was proposed 2 hours free parking with camera recognition. Do not if this has changed at all.

Do want to go down the route of the iceland car park management.

I would like to see SBC apply some pressure and find out what is going as it is in their interests as well.
