Under cover of darkness, though still at some personal risk, I was dragged out into a pub car park last night, by some dodgy woman promising me something to do with "sausages".
I made it back indoors safely, clutching these.
They are from Shropshire, wherever that is, though with a distinct Staffordshire heritage.
They are available in Stone at the Farmers' Market on the first Saturday of each month, for those not prepared to take the risks that I did last night.
I can confirm, through rigorous personal assessment procedures, that they are sausages that are well worthy of the name, something that is not always true of the run-of-the-mill sausage these days...
