Not so mundane... my wife has just been shot in the back by a steradent tube lid, she rinsed it out and put the lid back on, not noticing it still had a tablet in it, after I consoled her I spoilt the effect by having the hysterical giggles.

No sympathy - always check the chamber.

My son is saving for a car so he asked me to find out about insurance costs.

Went to a local insurance broker to ask for a guide figure (not an actual quote) so my son has an idea about how much needs to save and was told it will be about £4000 to insure a car worth about £1000 when he has passed his test.

Try ingenie.com my son (18) and most of his friends use this as its the only way they can afford to drive.

The company fit a black box which sends them all sorts if details about their driving and its reviewed every few months so their premiums can go down if they drive well.

I think sons original quotes offa-tinternet were between 4000 & 6000. Ingenie did it for just over 2500, but 6 Months in and its now reduced to about 170 a month :)

Think my son is going to have to stick to his push bike :lorks: Thinks he will get lessons , pass his test and occasionally use our car until he can afford his own........no way at those prices! My no excess, protected no claims, guaranteed courtesy car ,Fully comp insurance was £234 this year . No way can I afford it to go up into the thousands:ohno:

Don't normally order stuff on-line so when a parcel arrived with the goods I'd ordered yesterday I was like a kid at christmas. Even the postie seemed surprised that they were knocking with one actually for me,and not for one of the neighbours .

Had a nice leisurely soak in a bubble bath this morning and discovered that when I put my hand in front of the speaker part of my radio it changed stations.

Got a sore throat today so having the best medicine for it later - a nice refreshing glass of cider or two.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Drove past the hospital this afternoon and there were loads of press and cameras there. Has something happened?

It's a free news day - ideal to hide dodgy stuff that you might rather that people wouldn't notice...

I contacted my insurance company to find out how much to add my son to my policy. An extra £1,338 for the remaining 8 months of the policy. Madness.

Chemicals used in the decaffination process...

She had asked how much Water I drink a day, I don't drink any only decaff coffee.

Husband will be pleased as we're always arguing over fluid/water...he thinks you should drink so much water a day, while I thought it was just so much fluid.....nurse has proved him right by saying I should be only drinking water, and only 2 cups decaff. :( GRRRRRR
Oh dear sorry to hear that then.

On the plus for me, discovered that the 'broken heating' was actually caused by the bloke having twiddled settings etc of the timer system that we failed to check because we never use the timer.

I have a semi inflated (deflated?) sex doll in the boot of my car. Makes a change I suppose.

my car wouldnt unlock, then it did. then it wouldnt start, then it did. then the lights wouldnt turn off, then they did. then the windscreen wipers came on all by themselves, then they stopped, then I went home for a rest.

Possibly unrelated, but it is standard practice amongst serial killers to use such a technique when rehearsing a body disposal operation.

.
Middle son can only afford it cos if living at home (I think he'll be staying at home till he's about 45), older son had 10 lessons for his 17th birthday, plus theory and practical test, then when he passed could not afford the insurance- fortunatly the company he works for has provided him with a company car. He's since moved into his own place and there's no way he could afford to run a car now.

Such a shame for kids now, I think they really need to learn to drive whilst they're young as it gives them many more oppertunitys in life - but they're being priced out of the market :(

So far this morning I've exceeded my rations of decaff already...

I've decided to experiment on the rashy child by feeding her cheese crisps (suspected main culprit in allergic reaction) to see if the rash reappear.

She's currently lying on the floor with her head in a box - v strange!
