Thinking I made a mistake rescuing a wasp from becoming a spiders tea the other day . Waspie must have told all his mates how kind I was....my patio windows were being bombarded with swarms of wasps trying to get in today . Thought someone was frantically knocking on them at first when I heard them crashing into it!

Watch you don't get one of these in your garden...

We had one years ago , built around a small branch of a tree at the top of the front garden. Looked like a football at first. Had to learn to sprint fast with the lawn mower when I did near there.

Some quick work with a saw one colder morning before they woke up as the bin men were approaching, and a buzzing black bin bag was off up to road ...

As a complete physics nerd, it's a BBC4 binge on TV for me tonight. I'm disappearing beyond the event horizon of my television. :tumbleweed:

I'm proud of my denserishness. My denserishness is bigger than yours. (Always fall back on primary arguments is my motto,) :heyhey:

I’ve just got in from a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Stafford Gatehouse where a friend and I went to watch The Opera Boys.
It was so much fun, they were so talented and didn’t just do opera, they did every type of music, including Frankie Valle, Ed Sheeran, a bit of classical, it was just such a fabulous evening, I enjoyed every second of it.

Back there again tomorrow night, 10 of us going to Pizza Express first for a bite to eat then The Gatehouse to see The Illegal Eagles which is practically sold out. I’ve heard they are brilliant so I’m really looking forward to that.

Another fabulous night at Stafford Gatehouse watching The Illegal Eagles who were brilliant.

Totally had the audience in the palm of their hand.
The guitar playing was phenomenal.

All 10 in our group loved it and will definitely see them again next year.

We’re so lucky to have this lovely theatre in our town with such a variety of events going on....it’s wonderful to see it so well supported too.

About one hundred years ago I was in the open space outside the Pompidou Centre in Paris.

Two American guys, one acoustic guitar two voices, were playing their allotted spot to a big crowd that had obviously grown over the course of their set. They were really good - a Simon & Garfunkel kind of vibe, great harmonies, I didn't see them right from the start but must've seen the last third or so of their set.

The crowd were howling for more as the next guy was setting up for his slot. Just one guy with an electric guitar, plugging in to his amp, as his girlfriend tried to shoo the two Yanks off stage left.

The crowd were still hopeful of an encore, the Yanks were still pumped and eager to give them it, but the gf was starting to get pretty lairy.

The electric guitar dude, kit sorted, then stepped forward - had a word with his woman, had a word with the American boys -

The Yanks step up, to now rapturous applause for an encore, and start to play Hotel California.

Everyone loses their shit, as electric guitar dude steps up and plays along with our US boys - including a note perfect solo down the line - and by the end of it all a small corner of Paris has a collective orgasm.
