Nipped out 'quickly' in my dressing gown and uncombed hair to the top of my neighbours driveway to feed the starving (seemingly) stray cat that me and my neighbour are hoping to get to trust us enough to eventually get it to the vets. Ended up standing there defending it from Mr bully boy cat whilst he ate...... rather embarrassing as the usually quiet area suddenly had leaflet distributors, gardeners and what seemed like half the estate walking past to see me looking so glamourous in my 'just got out of bed' look in my dressing gown and pj's :embarrass:

If anyone knows of a lost ginger and white fluffy cat that's been missing for a while , this one appeared around our area on Wildwood a few months ago. Looked well cared for at first, but it's condition seems to have gone downhill since then. Stroked it yesterday as it was was trying to get water while I was washing the car and it was all just bones under it's matted fur. :(

Oh dear. :(

Can’t get it into a carrier at all?

Wildwood's near the canal, but you'd struggle to get a carrier up there.

There's a post on Current Spotted with a photo of the same cat , asking if he has owners or a stray. The person posting says they are providing it food and shelter.
A reply says that several people are concerned and looking out for it, apparently the owner lives in the next street to us. The group of people are trying to get something sorted out for the poor little thing.

In the mean time he will be getting lots of strokes and food from me as well when he comes by our house.

Don't think I'm in hubbys good books this morning . Could be with me telling him I posted using his facebook account as I haven't got one of my own

Aaaaargh.........first time I didn't check hubbys trouser pockets before throwing the black wash out of the laundry basket into the machine, as I was dashing off to the doctors first thing.. now got a line full of tissue covered black clothes. :(

Today I ticked 'driving without seatbelt' off my bucket list (not !!!)

Stupid seatbelt jammed and wouldn't work!!

Couldn't get hold of Husband (who always seems to disappear in times of need!) Didn't know what else to do??

Drove home praying to God (who I don't believe in) the whole way...

I used to drive a Reliant Regal van. (Yup, a Del Boy vehicle.)

It's very difficult to be a road warrior in a Reliant Regal Van (which I drove because I only had a bike licence, which was the silly law at the time) … but I had my moments. :teef:

It was a kind of magic gift to a biker as winter piled on. Never understood the law of the three wheel vehicle (which if I remember right had to be less than 8 cwt unladen) but .. it was the law and I got into a Reliant Regal van with little or no understanding of how to drive it, but was quite legal.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

A good observation. I was a biker but it took me into my 30's before I took my car test. But I'd been driving a Reliant for a few years and I came home on leave and a mate of mine who was a driving instructor gave me a few lessons to prepare for the test. His first advice was that although I could drive a car after several years of fumbling with a Reliant, I had all the bad habits of a seasoned driver. So I had to learn how to drive to pass the car test. (Crossing your hands, giving V signs to uncooperative drivers, mooning people out of the window to express disapproval, all of this apparently was unacceptable for passing the test.)
It must have worked, because I passed.
And so I became a lowly car driver … the amoeba of road life … the darkest most evil form of motor transport on the road, the curse of well being and meaning. (I could go on but I figure you get the message.)

But, I've come to live with it. Somewhere below the surface of us all, there's a Daenerys Targaryen trying to get out. (If you don't watch Game of Thrones that one might get past you, believe me, it wont if you ever watch it.) :teef:

Super pissed off after contacting sons solicitors to find out latest progress as this house purchase is going to be dragging on for some time yet. Sellers solicitors sent last few replies to enquiries back incomplete yet again yesterday (surely solicitors shouldn't be sending replies quoting 'I don't know'???? ) Now no records of the NHBC in past purchases. Delays, delays. delays

I think it was actually 450kg, about 992 pounds.

Some jobsworth would probably have had you for having those extra four pounds...
