I used to drive a Reliant Regal van. (Yup, a Del Boy vehicle.)

It's very difficult to be a road warrior in a Reliant Regal Van (which I drove because I only had a bike licence, which was the silly law at the time) … but I had my moments. :teef:
Mate of mine did the same back in the day. I remember on a camping holiday in Wales 'putting away' the Primus stove under the back of the car one evening and forgetting it was there the next morning. Then destroying it with the front wheel when he reversed out to nip out to get breakfast stuff.

In the winter of '63, my Dad had a lift in one. The roads had a ridge of ice between the tyre tracks of the conventional vehicles that had forced their way along them. The Reliant driver couldn't keep the front wheel on the top of the ice ridge and the three mile journey was a series of highly alarming lurches from side to side as the wheel climbed the ridge and fell off it again...

It was the only time he ever went in one.

Very smart, bet you're looking forward to the summer evenings.

I know the wife is , actually shes been enjoying being out there for a while , even in winter .
As she cant leave the house without assistance, its her little home away from home .
She's got all the mod cons she needs inside the summerhouse ( other than a toilet ;) ) ... and the downstairs toilet is only a stones throw away anyway.

Although for the darker nights im thinking of getting a set of these, ive already got the hub and the inside lights controlled via Philips Hue so these would also be controlled via Amazon Alexa and Hue using voice control.

As for me , i'm a gadget and home entertainment guy , if i could just talk her into having a 200 projector screen setup outside in the garden i would prob join her ;)

Oooo, I want a set of those. Missed out on an auction set that was at £43 when it ended, was absolutely gutted.

The only thing I use Alexa switch on for is my computer desk, and all the paraphernalia that goes with it. But I've noticed recently instead of replying 'OK' when I give the instruction, she says … "What ? NOW ?"

I'm thinking of renaming her HAL. :heyhey:

Having my boiler replaced today. It's been a month since I've had the luxury of warm running water. That's a lot of buckets of hot water lugged up the stairs.

Looking forwards to a nice day out at Cheshire Oaks with son tomorrow , whilst hubby goes off to work to replenish the bank balance. :D

Not looking forwards to the journey as a passenger though , it's sick bags at the ready within yards of setting off if I'm not driving....invested in travel sickness tablets tonight in the hope they work a miracle.

Handbag stashed with loads of dosh in readiness to splash the cash on clothes and a meal out . (The odd time me and hubby go for a day out 'shopping' we usually end up back home having only spent money on a bottle of milk in Aldi on the way home. )

I am, and will always be the first to hold my stubby fingered hand up and say that I am fat and really unfit. Just got the push bike out for the first time in over 7yrs, rode it as far as the common up the Isabel trail, turned round and come home again. My poor knees and legs!
Apologies to those I passed on the way, they must've thought the line was open to trains again the amount of puffing and wheezing I was doing.
I've done it once, therefore I can/will do it again. Who knows, I might pluck up the courage to ride it to work. If the weather's nice.

Enjoying a drop of red.

That's a decent ride for someone who hasn't ridden (a bike) in seven years. Well done

Well done @Glam  Keep it up!

Had a good day out going to Cheshire Oaks with son, despite not buying any clothes or shoes for ourselves as intended. Enjoyed lunch in Pizza Express though .

Can vouch for the Stugeron 15 travel sickness tablets , that I bought last night ,actually doing their job...... first time in 63 years that I've had a journey as a passenger without feeling at all sick. Did spend the whole journey concentrating on the traffic though , and trying not to be a back seat driver after "I do know how to drive mum" "Stop holding your breath" "Stop clutching the seat"

A good journey , got there and back safely in one piece, but no way do I enjoy not being in control of that steering wheel!

I think you'll find that a medicinal, measured quantity of red wine, say a bottle and a half, will also help your back seat driver/travel sickness woes. Also, it tastes nicer, if you choose wisely.
