Sadly the cake is a bit over done. It's not burnt but definitely over done. Disappointed.

How overdone?
If it’s just a little, turn it over and spoon some freshly squeezed lemon juice over it. This adds flavour and gives the cake a bit of moisture.
Cut off any dry edges and serve it up.

It's quite moist but has a very 'nearly burnt' flavour to it around the edges. I might indeed cut them off and re drizzle it.

So ? … bathrooms have to be cleaned now and again ?

(That would explain that thing that's living in the corner.)

Its going to be a busy week for me too.

I ordered a new bedroom carpet to be fitted in a few weeks , however wifey decided the room needed decorating to match the colour scheme she has in mind so ive been sorting that.
Turns out i will also need to have some new floorboards fitted , after having the central heating done they knackered about three that will need replacing next week.
The house has recently been rewired ,so hopefully the flooring wont need to be removed again .

Also , having the front pathway re leveled , hopefully not on the same day though.

To be honest with you Bob, and I think I know you well enough by now to call you by your christian name and not Mr Clay, we've had a bit of a poorly cat and he did more than a woopsie in the bathroom, so I had to clean all that up.
Unfortunately, I've now got to try and clean the rest of the house before the plumber arrives, cos the bathroom don't half make it all look a mess..............

We think he is, at least he seems to have stopped peeing everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. I had chuck my gorgeous big breadboard out cos it was covered in cat wee......... And it wasn't wee he'd done behind the scrubbed clean toilet.
We know it wasn't her, cos she does her business behind the stairs door!

Awww, our Sophie (age 9, run over about 5yrs ago) was like that when she had a urine infection, was trying to wee everywhere... After spending a fortune at the vets on different drugs, injections, painkillers & other treatments we've finally found a system that works...

Age 7+ biscuits in the morning.

1 pouch age 7+ food at night, with half a pouch of water added, plus one Cystese tablet opened and mixed into the wet food.

Then (as cruel as it sounds), she has her tea in a large dog crate, that she then stays in for the night, she has a comfy bed, litter & water in there. It seems to keep her totally stress free as the other 2 cats can't get to her to either bully her or eat her food. She's been so much happier since and her coat, attitude & general health is sooo much better.

Many years ago, I was given a rather nice and very useful 'multitool' device -

Mp_400_sport.jpg

- it normally resides, in its pouch, in the passenger door pocket of my car, but it has been missing for a while - I was beginning to become resigned to the possibility that it had fallen out somewhere, though I did have a vague idea that I remembered putting it 'somewhere' and thinking "I must remember that I've put it here"...

I have just accidentally found it, and where it was means that I can date its loss exactly - May 17th...

It's back in the door pocket now.

Was it in the same place as the other thing you lost?

'Tis said that there shall, in that time, be rumors of things going astray, erm. And there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia-work base, that has an attachment. At that time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer, and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight O'clock.
