So glad it was caught early enough to do something about @c0tt0nt0p and @littleme

(Late) mother in law was riddled with it by the time it was spotted and even lost a kidney afterwards as well. If only she hadn't been too scared to go to the doctor's when she first started feeling ill.:(

It actually wasn't the cancer that got her in the end though. She went into City hospital in Brum ( a right dirty sh1t hole) with a rash, picked up a killer infection whilst in there and never came out!
That's sad to hear. Can't say enough good things about the place/people at Stoke and then the team at Stafford.

That Brum hospital was disgusting and the most horrible hospital I've ever seen. I thought his bedbound mum had got it wrong when she told us she had to go to the loo in the bed all day and they would change it later at night. Found a nurse to say that his mum must be confused, and could they make sure she got a bed pan regularly when needed as she was saying how sore she was lying in it all day . Answer was "We haven't got time for that. They 'go' in the beds and we change them last thing at night!" :o
Got her moved back to Sandwell, in an isolation ward as she was by now badly infected with this disease, but only lasted a couple of days in there before we got a phone call to say she was gone.:(

The road building has stepped up a mark. I now have 2 lovely shipping type containers in front of my bedroom window. (On the car park) Beigey cream in colour. I bet they'll glow in the dark.

What happens on Monday evenings?

Every Monday evening my dog gets really scared and tries to hide. Something outside is scaring her and neither my wife or me can hear it. Without fail it happens on Mondays. Any ideas? We are Victoria Terrace/Peel Terrace area.
Hope you find out what it is that's scaring her.

Was lying in bed last night , racking my brains whilst trying to get to sleep. Wild guesses here , but...

Is someone coming to visit a neighbour on mondays who she is picking up bad vibes from ? (Our dog used to love everybody, but in a Torquay hotel one day she was going mad at a bloke in the hotel grounds . Then later that day we got back to the room and she was cowering down in the corner. Turns out all the other rooms in our annexe had been burgled , taking car keys and nicking the cars as well. She must have saved our room. Turns out the bloke she was going mad at earlier in the grounds wasn't a hotel guest and possibly the one breaking into the rooms...)

Or something going on in the Army camp each monday with the noise carrying that she can hear but not you. ?

The army camp may be an option. We considered brass bands practising at the rangers but ruled that out. The army camp is a very good suggestion. I will investigate further, thank you.

Dogs are fantastically sensitive to sound, far and away above the human capacity of hearing. Possibly as high as 60,000 cycles per second for some breeds, a long way above the ability of the human ear. This is not of much use to you as I cant think of any reason for such sound emissions in your area, other than to use some equipment to observe such a phenomena, which is very likely impracticable. But sound is a likely path to follow.
I only know this because I've seen dogs react to ultrasonic sound and they were very distressed. :(

Our dog used to be scared stiff of the hot air balloons going over, and we always knew when they were approaching ages before we could see or hear them ourselves by her behaviour.

That's a pity because the view of Snowdon from Rhyd Ddu is a cracker. This pix is taken from the pub in Rhyd Ddu a couple of years ago. Had just got back from a walk up the Rhyd Ddu path, which starts right by the station and then coming back down Ranger Path (much easier on the knees.) Made that pint taste a lot better … :pint::teef:

I've done that walk a couple of times many, many years ago so I've seen the view already but we've been planning this trip for several years with the intention of getting off the train at Rhys Ddu and walking up Snowdon and back via the mountain railway but other commitments, a broken hip and general old age have prevented it happening. So this trip was turned into a beer trail and good food trip instead :)

Now in a Purple Moose pub in Porthmadog and all is well :)

Had a walk around the roads built so far on new housing estate on old police headquarters ( Baswich Grange?) .
Didn't go inside any houses, but had a nose through the windows of the ones still for sale.

Not impressed at all how lots of the houses so far haven't got any decent parking outside their house.

Must apologise to a resident who has already moved into a' sold' one and in the lounge , as hubby proceeded to walk up their driveway :embarrass:
Managed to stop him before he had his nose up against the lounge window :o

Isn't there supposed to be a Japanese Knot Weed problem on there, making it difficult for folk to get mortgages?
