Had a walk around the roads built so far on new housing estate on old police headquarters ( Baswich Grange?) .
Didn't go inside any houses, but had a nose through the windows of the ones still for sale.

Not impressed at all how lots of the houses so far haven't got any decent parking outside their house.

Must apologise to a resident who has already moved into a' sold' one and in the lounge , as hubby proceeded to walk up their driveway :embarrass:
Managed to stop him before he had his nose up against the lounge window :o

I am considering a house move and looked in the 3 and 4 bed houses up there on Sunday, comparing them against the other new builds that are popping up around the town and were visited on the same day, these are considerably smaller and the finish nowhere near as good.

Get yourself a 1960's house

Bigger rooms, because they had to be by law

The law has shrunk rooms each decade since

We were surprised how small some of the lounges were. Made our house seem so big when we got back from our walk.

I'd go for one with it's own private driveway , over 'allocated parking'. When I was looking around houses in Worcester with son, lots had allocated parking spots, but there were other peoples cars and work vans already parked in the ones which should have been for the houses we were viewing most times. (The estate agent even parked in someone elses space at one house, as I'd got stuck on the motorway and had to go straight there to meet them, so had 3 cars and only 2 spaces actually allocated for us. Could see son coming home from work in the early hours and having nowhere to park). Glad he's bought one with it's own private double driveway down the side of the house!

I may have asked this before, but does anyone know why there are often large groups of people on their phones by the memorial on Victoria Road? Last night they'd moved to the corner of Station Road. Are pokestops still a thing or is this something different?

Could be pokestops, they gather weirdly outside Sainsbury's too, then wander about outside in packs while looking at their phones...

I'm drinking BOVRIL.
I took someone shopping in Tesco once and went off to get the 'harder' items whilst they did the 'easy' stuff.

Bovril is always a difficult one, it could be in a few different categories and I couldn't find it, so I asked a chap who was stacking shelves.

He seemed to be a recent arrival from India and asked me "What is Bovril?"

I started to explain that it is basically bits of cows that has been boiled down so much that it comes as a thick liquid in jars - he started to look at me like I was deliberately trying to goad him - so I went off and felt obliged to come back with a jar and admit just how weird 'we' really are...

I’d just like to apologise to anyone on the forum that, over the last few months, may have been at the receiving end of my sharp tongue/ill temper/reacting in a negative way/generally being not very nice.

On a day to day basis, whether on the forum, or in real life, I generally only talk about the good stuff.
I don’t like to bore people with the rubbish bits, because let’s face it, everyone has enough of their own stuff to deal with without listening to everyone else moan about their problems or grievances. So I usually put on my “happy persona” and try to send upbeat posts.

Anyway, recently I’ve just been on a tinsy winsy bit of a downer. It’s nothing massive.

Not going into details, just wanted to apologise for being a bad tempered bore.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed soon.

I woukd like to be the first to say nothing to apologise for.

You usually say what you think and like it or not that is a good quality in my book regardless of who takes offence.

I would like to think that the folks on this forum are of a broad minded nature and open to a good discussion and debate and don't generally take offence and if they do have the balls to say if they do.

I would also like to think and actually know that the contributors on this forum will help others where they can if needed without prying into the reasons for the help.

1, I hadn't noticed anything.

2, If there was, then I seem to have been left out and am rather miffed about it...
