'Black Friday' … very possibly the longest drawn out day of all time. Or at least, so I thought …. then I got an email today saying: 'Continuing bargains for Black November.'

Where will it end ? Black Decade ? Black Century ? Black Aeon ?

Could there be an entire Black Universe out there ? A sort of giant conglomeration of Amazon like sellers stretching out beyond infinity (whatever that means.)

Could there even be: … a Black Infinity ?

(Sod this, I'm off down the pub.)

Shit, too late, they're shut  ... move over fridge door, desperate fellah coming through …. :pint::urgh:

"Black November", you say?

Some of us can remember Black September - there weren't many bargains to be had there...

I have a lot of 'mini-conversations' every day, with lots of people, so most are mundane... but yesterday I had the best one ever, talking to a bloke my age (50ish) He had had a good day as Wolves had won their match, but the best thing about his day was that he had had a 3rd date... and had a definate 4th date coming up this week......he was so genuinely happy, thrilled & pleased & it really made my day to see someone so happy... hope it goes well on the 4th date & he wins the lottery too.
All with the same bird, or was he really on a roll?

Taking dark matter and dark energy into account, we find there's more than 90 per cent of Universe we know nothing about.

WHATEVER HAPPENS DON'T TELL AMAZON FOR F***S SAKE !!!:o:facepalm:

With hubby at the footie, and I had the car, decided I'd better re-stock the christmas ciders that got attacked at the weekend. Bought extra to save driving down for another re-stock so soon

As the homeless guy sitting outside Aldi (Cannock Rd one ) was pleasant to me as I got my trolley, despite him sitting there looking freezing cold, and didn't ask for anything , decided on my way out I'd see if he wanted a sandwich getting . When asked what sort he'd like, the answer was " just the cheapest please" . So got him one of the nicest ones which I would have prefered , as well as a can of pop out of my multipack. He was so grateful, and was nice to see him tucking in as I was driving off . Cheered me up as well . Another kind bloke also bought him a bag of snacks.

(Brought back how near to that son could have been last year , when the letting agents cocked up big time and he didn't get the new flat keys until a month after he should have. He had nowhere to live for a couple of weeks until their paperwork was sorted. Luckily son had his car and had our house to drive back to , with a 120 mile round trip to work each day. We were abroad at the time, so spent most of our holiday worried sick and on the phone  Shows how easily someone can end up on the streets!)

Thanks @littleme :D Thought I'd be a nice StaffordJas , rather than grumpy StaffordJas for a change tonight .

Going to be a told off StaffordJas when hubby comes back from the match in a bit and finds out how many visa transactions I've done today . Already been on a xmas shopping spree this afternoon as well as tonights. (And I only originally walked down for a new loo brush  )

I'm sure he'll be very pleased with his new loo brush on Christmas morning.
I gave him a nail brush one Xmas years ago as a joke... Gave him that first, all wrapped up nicely as his ' Very special present' , before giving him his all his proper nice pressies. Backfired on me though, as he blew up when he opened the nail brush one and the rest just got tossed aside with hardly a glance in his bad mood. Went all the rest of the Xmas holiday not speaking

You still up, he's obviously seen the Visa activity.

Sitting in lamplight as the bulb has gone in the living room. I could change it but it's a bit fiddly and will involve more stretching than my shoulder likes. Besides, husband does nothing so for once he'll be useful.

Due to the wet conditions I decided to walk with the dog from Parkside down Common Road and then across the railway to the Stone Road and back.

Unfortunately we somehow missed the path to the railway and we ended up in town at the Bird.

How did that happen? I'll have to stay here for a while to recover :)
