As it's a Friday night, and not just any Friday night, but the start of the Bank Holiday Weekend, my husband and I decided to have a night out.

Now when I say out, I don't mean "Out Out", I mean a trip out to the bottom of the garden, to our shed/garden room thing whereby we had a change of scene and partook in a gin and tonic or two.

But look, even our cat has turned to drink.

Hubby dared to make a trip to the Co-op last night for essentials we couldn't get on the farm shop and butchers deliveries. I was ready with a bucket of soapy/ disinfected water , disposable gloves etc to wash it all down in the garage (including shoes, wallet, phone car keys , car steering wheel etc..)and leave unperishables in the garage overnight. Didn't really look at the massive 'bargain' liquid washing detergent he was proud of managing to get.
Just been to get it to do a wash......it's fabric conditioner ! Don't normally use it, but going to have to mix it in with the remaining rations of detergent each time and hope it works as well ...

Just finished mowing the lawns under a sweltering Sun. Strangely, the most notable thing about the current situation was the lack of aircraft trails in the sky. Around here it's usually full of them. Maybe that's why the Sun seems pretty formidable for April !!

That's a coincidence....just reading your post and a plane has just gone over. First one I've heard or seen in a while. Bit of a vapour trail behind it as it went over , but not the usual trails left in the sky for ages after. We normally have loads but that was the only one I've seen for days .

Had the Police welly chopper over here yesterday complete with a bike? chase. Looks like they were after the annoying twerps who've been driving us all crazy for the last few months riding around and around and around. Ride, ride, speed, skid for hours at a time. Don't think they caught them or at least not all of them as I saw them later on. Made for interesting watching for a while though as they chased them past my house 3 times.

New people in our street, a few doors away. Decided to blast what sounds to these country music loving ears, drum and bass. High volume, all day, windows open. No sitting in the garden for us.

Today's project...tidied the shed whilst digging the old exercise bike out to relocate into the garage ,in readiness for much needed workouts over the coming weeks.
Founds sons old weights in there as well, so the very lightest are also set up.
Decided I've had enough of moping around with a feeling of doom & gloom all the time. Giving myself a kick up the @rse ... Fitness regime starts again tomorrow :D

I've developed a nice tremor in my left hand, the whole thing shakes, and there appears to be a slug trapped under the skin below my little finger, it seems to be having a bit of a disco under there. Most entertaining over the last 2 days, although it's less shaky today.

Managed to sunburn myself yesterday as I sat in the garden doing absolutely nothing.... Bliss.

I'm sticking with horse fly bite, but it did look nasty. Feel better soon & stay safe.
I get attacked by them and have really bad reactions. Having been to the doctor before I was told to take an antihistamine, loratadine (the non-drowsy one) so I now take one every day. They still get angry but I hope not as much as they would if I didn't take it. Hope it calms down soon.

@littleme that sounds horrible, are you okay?

Horse fly bites are terrible, lots of people I work with got bitten last year, I ended up on antibiotics with cellulitis after a nasty bite, as did others at work.

I'm fine thanks, no pain or cramp, it's just mysterious.
