Now I am a person that likes to celebrate Christmas, even fine with it starting in November. My tree goes up at the beginning of December. That said, even I think thats taking the mickey.

At least one pub has things about Christmas arrangements on its Faceache page

Just been watching the BBC news. I’m off to Tesco early tomorrow to fill the boot with fresh bread. I’m old enough to remember the wheat shortages of the late 70’s/early 80’s don’t you know. I won’t get caught out again. I think I’ll get some bog roll while I’m there. I can remember there was a problem with it around then too

I've just had a telephone dentist appointment that ended with a prescription. Brilliant.

I had a dentist telephone consultation - then a face to face visit and a prescription for anti biotics - infection under two teeth - waiting to see what's to be done in two weeks time at next appointment. oh woe is me - nothing worse than toothache

Our Piskie dog used to know the signs and made sure we didn't go anywhere near the front door without her when the cases appeared. She had the comfiest journey of us all , sprawled out in her basket taking up most of the back seat, with us squashed in with stuff piled on top of us. We call the M5 bridge over the Bristol Channel 'Piskies Bridge' as she always woke up excited sniffing the sea air as we went over it. She loved her holidays :)

Enjoy your hols @Thehooperman and Bee :) and @Lucy

Been getting ready for our hols as well , with the house getting a good spring clean to come back to and replacing most of the summer stuff in the car with coats and brollies after seeing floods down in Dorset :o

Spent yesterday and today ringing around various pubs and restaurants booking tables for meals and drinks for the whole week. Was expecting to have to book tables for meals, but not just nipping in for a drink in places later. Prefer to walk around , see somewhere we fancy and call in . But advised by each establishment that tables are scarce and advisable to pre-book or good chance wont get in (especially being bank holiday) Some are even closing at 8pm in the week :o so military planning to make sure we can enjoy full evenings out. Not our usual holiday, but really looking forwards to it whaver the weather.....

Plans to stop off at Longleat Safari park on the way back scuppered though....no slots left on the day !

With hubby having a fortnights holiday off work , but only having the one week booked in a cottage , he's just asked if I'd packed plenty of our medication for if we suddenly decide to stop off elsewhere at the end of the week. (That normally means he is seriously thinking of it, but daren't actually say he fancies a couple of nights somewhere or I'd be straight on the phone getting us booked in somewhere in minutes ... he's a "we will wait til nearer the time " sort .....)
I've already packed enough meds and clothes to last for a month incase we get locked down somewhere

Enjoying a drop of red.
Oh so exciting, New Quay in Wales..... I love it, that's all that counts.... I've succumbed to the fact that we WONT be abroad on my 50th this year, so New Quay for a whole 3 nights it is.... Might fit another 4 nights in (in the UK) later in the year... Tenby is looking good....
I love New Quay, it's a really nice place. Go there via Aberystwyth and there are some great driving roads to savour as well.
