Just had it confirmed that we won't be getting our annual bonus for 2019/20 year because it wouldn't be seen as the right thing to do in the current climate.
This was topped by the loss of income due to Covid 19, etc, etc. I wouldn't mind but the financial year ended before the impact of Covid had even started and I had plans to spend any bonus we did get on jobs that need doing.
We've been told any surplus from last year will be reinvested in the development of staff so I suggested they give the money back to the government instead or better still donate to an NHS charity or similar to those that actually need it.

I got promoted this week but due to belt tightening it’s effectively a new signature on my emails. I am ok with it for now as the hope is that it will be looked at when things improve.

I don't 'do' facebook etc , the only forums I go on are this one and one more...... bit freaked out by a notification yesterday that I have a follower 
on the other forum that I've not been on for a while, from a random stranger I've never even encountered over the years I've been on it. No details on profile, except they are only following 2 other people in the world and reviews showing they have visited our area a couple of times in the past .
(Reminds me of the time I was under attack bombarded with nasty PM's from someone in Turkey , accusing me of being 'an old Etonian' who was personally responsible for installing the crap plumbing on the Greek Isles
)
Luckily the Forum's management team was able to quickly Oust the moron who was sending me disgusting messages on here ages ago.
But now decided to lie low and be a lurker for a while ....

I had a random follower (first and last) on Strava a few months back. Next day they had vanished, poof like magic.

We're still on Windows 7 so they had to get us new laptops, takes a long time to roll out to 2,000 people though. Apparently our small team are to go in 1 day in November to catch up too. Plus I need to get everything that was on my desk that's been packed up.
