Good day today, borrowed the works vivaro, boss said fill it up and keep it as long as you want as its not getting used much. Filled up, photo of receipt sent to accounts and funds were in my account before Tesco had taken it.
Two loads of conifer shiz taken to the tip, lawn cut and all the stray bits of conifer mown up, the old dog of a mower seems unstoppable in this regard. Shed tidied out and a load of firewood taken to a mate in the village. Still managed to catch half an hour in a deck chair in the sun with a cider. A satisfying day all round.

I quite often hate my job (the hours, the pressure, situations, people, abuse) , but I absolutely love the majority of the people I work with (some will stab you in the back as soon as look at you) and some customers have made such a difference to my life & outlook, at the end of the day I'm still lucky to have a job as in the last year many others have lost their jobs.

Try to just think of the end result for you and hubby, remember the difference you are making to the kids you are in contact with (even if the school as a whole doesn't do much), for some kids you will be life changing, one single teacher can change a whole experience for some of them and make everything so much better.... Stop underestimating yourself, even the smallest pebble can make the biggest of ripples.

Thank you!

The most frustrating thing is when theres nothing to do!

Last week I spent the afternoon sharpening pencils as I couldn't sit idly!

I officially hate my job right now, even though I love what I do, I seriously hate it.
I walk out every morning thinking everyone hates my guts.

Just read that the Daily Mail has purchased New Scientist magazine for £70 million. Well then.

(not entirely suited to this thread but couldn't think of anywhere else to put it)

It does seem to have been transforming into a 'popular science' magazine, from being a science magazine that was reasonable popular..

2 weeks ago I asked mini-me to try her school uniform on to make sure it still fit. 'it'll be fine' she says.

Then waits till midday today to inform me her blouses, bras, p. e. leggings, and pants don't fit. And her shoes were ruined last time she wore them. She also needs more masks as she's lost some.

Strangely I didn't have much luck online, but a trip to M&S fixed most problems. And I get Posh Dogs for tea instead of Jacket spuds. Bonus.

Rather a coincidence....

I've had a cough for the past 2 years , which after various antibiotics and various other medication over the year before 1st lockdown stumped the docs as they had no idea what was causing it, and just became something that I / they assumed I just had to live with....

Not seen the doctors for over a year since well before the first lockdown. Just been coughing my guts up each morning still.

Had the PfiZer jab 3 weeks ago.

Just realised that my cough has now gone this week. Maybe whatever was in the vaccine has finally been the cure...
