. I must say in my defence..wasn't actually greasy, just looked it with wearing my woolly hat beforehand. (First time today that a hat has been worn for years,) but lesson learnt....keep a comb in my handbag!

Hehehe my 'carer' did the same to me on my birthday, told me we had to nip to town to collect something - so i wore jeans & a scraggy jumper - turned out he had arranged for the rest of the family to meet us for a surprise birthday meal at the Dog & Trumpet! Hope you had a good time anyway?Hubby wanted a 'walk to the shops' when he got home.....
Then sprung his surprise....I'm now sat in the pub wearing my old scruffy clothes, no make-up, no comb and my hair a right mess with static from my hat.
My cough doesnt sound anywhere near as bad as yours @staffordjas - its developed after my flu jab, friday & saturday I was voiceless, Sunday I sounded like Bonnie Tyler, but the cough is a night-time lying down thing, not to bad in the day but no sleep for 2 nights on the trot... The cat tried to help by sitting on my face earlier

Actually, @Gadget , i may look for guidance on technical matters in the not too distant, if that's ok?
Have taken 'manly' course of action, by ignoring potential problems until they become critical.
Whilst hoping, without any basis to do so, that they do not become critical.

Swopped my day off (tomorrow, Wednesday) to Thursday to help out a work friend, and to score bonus points with the 'carer' as it's his day off too....
....'Carer' has just text to say hes changed his day off from Thursday to tomorrow (Wednesday) to help out a work friend & so he can be off on the same day as me! Aggggghhhhh!
