We've just been to the Jekyll and Hyde in Birmingham where we've taken part in a gin masterclass.
Learned about the history of gin, got to taste several gin cocktails, then got to invent a cocktail of our own.

This was mine although I can't now actually remember what I put in it.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, courtesy of a present from son to husband as a birthday gift ( and I also got the benefit).

Hubby announced he was too Ill to go out, but we ended up going out in the end......then horror of horrors....whilst sitting in the pub, suddenly realised I'd forgotten to put any make up on....chemists closed and co- ops being make-up up free zones resulted in hoping to avoid being seen by anyone.
Went to the Wildwood after, hubby joining a table of strangers so I couldn't hide away...had a good evening out though :)

Pukka Pie & chips from the co-,op to wash it all down now :D
If it makes you feel any better I'm out tonight and look rough as a badgers arse, not been home and slept in the shop last night!

Every now and then I see something and just have no idea what it is.

Someone I know was donating one of these things to Katharine House this afternoon.

A horizontal steel mesh cylinder.

It looked too light to be some sort of combustion-related device. I would never have worked out what it was without asking.

It's a head band display stand, for those who also are out-of-the-loop.

I thought it was an excercise wheel for a grossly obese hamster, but then realised it won't revolve. It must be for a lazy bastard hamster.

No wonder he was always so angry. That must've hurt.

..... sitting reading through the forum could become habit forming.
Beware - Internet forums (fora?) can be very time consuming.

About ten years ago (and before I joined this forum), I'd often find myself pinging between forums like a pinball. It was like perpetual motion. You go onto forum A and spend 10 minutes reading the recent stuff and maybe replying to it, before moving on to Forum B, spending another 10 minutes there before moving on to Forum C and spending another 10 minutes there ..... and then you'd be back to Forum A to catch up on the 25 minutes of new posts you'd missed while you'd been posting stuff and been on forums B and C ..... and then you'd be going round the cycle again.

And if you get bored with that, there's always Twitter.

And in some bad cases reading something on forum B and thinking hmm, that'd be a good reply to that thread on forum A! Now I just come here, it's easier.
