Music Workshops in and around Stafford

Hi all, I've just been wondering does anyone know of any music workshops that are around Stafford?
I'm interested in getting involved in one but I can't seem to find any

There is a music school above the sony centre on Mill street, not too sure if that's what you're after.

Just something to get people jamming together.. whatever they want to play.. been thinking of an idea for a while now but its very very restricted by time, venue, costs, gear and indeed punters.. I thought a scheme where kids come along and say learn a song together in a week during the holidays before a performance would be cool.. but then again thats restricted by CRB and insurance and all kinds of red tape I daren't dream of
