Everyone may well know about this already but I have just found this website which is a kind of online neighbourhood watch:

Just put your postcode in and see if there is one in your area... be warned though, if there isn't one already in your street then they will ring you and ask if you want to be a co-ordinator for one.... Its run by Staffordshire Police (and others so nothing dodgy though).....

However if there is one in your street you can get a login and then see any reports from people in your area about crime etc. Really useful and i'm surprised this isn't publicised better (maybe it is, I do walk around with my eyes closed seemingly).

Interesting. I have absolutely no interest in becoming a watchman but I'm going to see if there is one in my area. I bet there is, its a curtain twitcher estate through and through!

Great find though, I agree about publicity; I haven't seen it either. Seems like a very good service though, just been reading the info and it seems like a reasonable amount of thought has gone into the scheme.
