That's why I asked Carole, how does she know that she is too old for Mr Marwood?

Good question. Charlie Chaplin was 54 when he married his fourth wife Oona O'Neill. She was 17 when they started seeing each other.

 

When Mr Marwood's 'birthday' was public on his profile, it was some time around 1905, I think - I have no reason to doubt the veracity of his assertion.

 

MrLittleme is a good 5yrs (sometimes 6) younger than me, but thanks to his uphill paper-round you would never know

 

Well I don't know exactly of course but from his posts about what he is up to, and various other snippets ...I sort of gathered that he liked his ladies on the young side.

I could be wrong.

 

He could also be 96, 1 3/4 feet in the grave, dodgy heart and an overflowing bank balance. And, no living relatives. Compared to women of his own age, that makes all of us on here spring chickens.

If so, I don't reckon there'll be a problem.

 

Before this goes any further I would like to clarify my position.

It was an observation, or just a thought that John would not be interested in a woman of my age...but that woman is not necessarily me.

It actually isn't me because I am perfectly happy most of the time with the one I have at home.

So my post wasn't an invitation of any sort, even if he is interested in middle aged women.

Blimey...I really want to go back and edit my posts, but it's not allowed any more.

As a young man of 65 and a half I can categorically say all women over
16 and under 90 are attractive to me, the pity is they are not attracted to me.
Sans hair, sans teeth, sans eyesight , sans stamina, dodgy heart, no money, thank god I'm too old to care.

P.S. It's 3.30 am, can't stay asleep at night either.

Bugger, 69 and a half, my excuse is it's 4 am in the morning, me, lie about my age, never!!

Well maybe, if i have dyed my beard and got a new hat to hide my head,
but would I get away with it, I may try one day when her indoors is not looking.
