New Path needed. Tarmac or Block.

Anybody know a local (or nearly local) Contractor? Path to front & side of house needs replacing. Old Tarmac wearing out & breaking up. Total area around 23sq mtr. Prefer Tarmac (for speed) but might consider block paving if price is right. Anybody here had this type of work done recently?
Would prefere not to hear from Irish navvies with 'left-over' Tarmac from another job they just happen to have finished locally.
Thanks

Dawkes? They did our old neighbours drive about 15yrs ago, did a lovely job. Drove past other week, and it's still looking good. Might be at the expensive end, but you get what you pay for. The navvies just chuck a shovel full on top, flatten it and disappear with your money before the tarmac has chance lift.

A contact of mine just had his drive rubber-mac'd!! Cant crack or perish at all and it's guaranteed for 20 years apparently. Looks good too. Plus as a bonus, if you fall over drunk on it, it's not likely to hurt as much! ;)

I think he paid about £1500 for his drive. Nice and shiny black, with yellow flecks (or choice of blue green and red were available), and a yellow border on it he chose to finish it off.
Shredded old car tyres mixed with a resin I believe. Very effective though. Other bonuses are present too - It cant freeze. Apparently snow wont even stick to it so you can just sweep the snow off - no shovel required!

So easy to lay though, just a hand trowel job - no steam rollers required or anything... the guys must be making a small fortune. This video isn't the company he used, but it shows you how easily its done

Watched yr video then minutes later found an Ad in today's Express & Star for the exact same stuff! Seems almost too good to be true. Will see if I can get to talk to people who have actually had this stuff put down on their drives.

Think about how many playgrounds have had this stuff down for years. It's extremely hardwearing. Can shrink and expand itself so doesnt therefore crack. I think it's genius.
If you like I could put you in touch with the guy I know that has just had it. I'm sure he'd be happy for you to have a nosey at his driveway.

Hi just found this forum, trying to track the where about of a fraudster called George Smith now trading as Rubbermac Paving he has been 'working' in Boston Lincs and now vanished If anyone is thinking of using Rubbermac Paving please check these websites rubberdrive.co.uk and rubbermacpaving.co.uk. the rubberdrive contacts are all obsolete. he is being investigated by the police for fraud and trading standards for poor work. just beware!
