You never know who may turn up? I wont be there. All I know is that CASA are apparently giving away the first tickets in a prize draw.

Bit of a sweeping generalisation of Kaylee or Libby-Mae.......did you just assume their heel height? I'm sure they will say that they feel offended and threatend by such an accusation of their chosen footware that they feel the need to tweet/snapchat/instagram (delete as appropriate) to the world that they need their safe space for a nice cry? Either that or a Jager bomb?


You're right, invited guests should be those that contribute to the community as a thank you for their efforts. I can think of several from DGH that deserve to be given the VIP treatment for looking after me following a small op earlier in the year.

I'm sure the guest list would be of this caliber. I certainly hope so.

As far as I know, no-one from St.Georges has received a VIP pass yet.

Mental health is nothing to be rediculed about.....should be talked about and helped with. No issues with that at all.

but back on topic though....theres a large unit where the old Express & Star office used to be that seems to be empty....any ideas what will be going in there?

Part of the cinemathat isn't quite finished yet or a Restaurant?

I was thinking those units on the front directly opposite the picture house were part of the cinema, but seeing as none of these are finished, I'm guessing these are new retail units that are as yet unoccupied ?

The front unit was supposed to be prezzos. As they have a whole hosts of issues financially this year and closed about 100 restaurants, I am not sure if they are opening new sites.

But they, chiqitos and coal all have licenses in the units around the cinema. Expect some movement early 2019 on least one of them.

I can see how people were excited in 1937 when the Odeon arrived in Stafford, but who cares now? Anyone would think the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were arriving at Riverside.

I rarely go to the cinema to be honest, but there have been cases (like Infinity War) where I've heard some pretty big spoilers by waiting for it to hit Bluray. So a nice, luxury cinema coming to Stafford is a pretty good thing in my eyes.
