Just been in the new restaurant where the castle tavern used to be.

Its a greek restaurant and they are finishing off the refit. The bar has shrunk completely leaving a lot more space inside.

The menu looks interesting as well. Open to the public next Teusday I think.

Me too!

Had a long chat with Dimitri, the new owner, about his plans etc. He's going to be signing up here soon to tell us all what treats we're in for.

I'm salivating just looking at it. Plenty of really nice dishes, starters from £2.99, mains from £9.99...bring it on!

edit: full menu on the website.

I love the way it says the most authentic greek food in Stafford, wasn't aware they had competition?

Regardless, menu looks good. Really enjoyed the scram when I was in Greece, although my last visit was over a decade ago :( Will def be trying this place out.

I believe that some 'eating' may have been involved..
and plating......
"Plating is a surface covering in which a metal is deposited on a conductive surface. Plating has been done for hundreds of years, but it is also critical for modern technology. Plating is used to decorate objects, for corrosion inhibition, to improve solderability, to harden, to improve wearability, to reduce friction, to improve paint adhesion, to alter conductivity, for radiation shielding, and for other purposes. Jewelry typically uses plating to give a silver or gold finish. Thin-film deposition has plated objects as small as an atom, therefore some plating is nanotechnology"

Now I'm getting confused......

I'll stick with the Moussaka, might be easier.
