Hi .
I wonder if anyone recall a Butchers shop that would have been in White Lion St Stafford before it was demolished...I believe it was run by a Fredrick Hillman( at maybe later with his son Michael) I am also looking for any photos that show this .. Any help appreciated ..Unfortunatly I no longer live in Stafford...

I just put White Lion into the Past Track search and that was the first result. Simple. Hope it's the right one, 'Hillman' brings nothing up.

If I remember right ( serious doubt here ) the lock-up for drunks is still there

Perhaps it should be re commisoned

davyg has hit rootschat with this query, too. It's had 70 hits there, but the Forum responds first..

The lock-up is, indeed, still there, but not in use, for storing drunks or curing hams..

Gramaisc,

Wonderful. Thankyou so much .. Now I know just where it was located. The gentleman in the photo would be the previous owner as my Fredrick would only be 28 in 1936..

Yes it is. Although it's actually been moved slightly from what I've been told
