VIP tables and exclusive standing tickets for a special charity live music event at The Swan Hotel in Stafford are to be auctioned on internet auction site, ebay, later this month.
The evening, billed as The Cartoon Kings + Special Guests, will feature local acts Mark Stevens, The Cartoon Kings and a guest appearance from Tom Sofa who will be performing the now famous ‘Stafford Song’. All acts will be playing in the hotel’s atmospheric courtyard garden.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to national charity Epilepsy Action and interested customers can bid for tables of eight, four or for a limited amount of standing tickets on ebay from Midnight on 14th May, the auction will run for 7 days.
Event organiser, Ben Sutcliffe from Sponge Marketing, said: “With the popularity of the live music nights at The Swan we wanted to hold a more exclusive and intimate event for music lovers that may be put off by the big crowds that come on Friday nights in the summer.â€
He continued: “We wanted a way of selling the tables and tickets that would generate as much money for the charity as possible. By using ebay they will be available to a huge audience and the limited amount on offer makes the event quite exclusive, hopefully tempting some big bids from groups who want a great night out in aid of charity.â€
Headlining the event are The Cartoon Kings, a five-piece band from Stafford that play around the country and regularly attract crowds of 300 people when they appear at The Swan during the summer. Singer with the band, Becky Corneby, said: “We love playing at The Swan, it has a great atmosphere and especially for a special event such as this. The plan is for some special guests to start the evening and once the crowd has warmed up we will take it into party mood and get people out of their seats for a good dance. I can’t wait!â€
The event will start at 7.30pm on Sunday 27th May, there will be six tables and 30 standing tickets available for purchase, there will be no additional entry to the garden on the night.
