Saw my first swallow -

- of the season today.

Without binoculars it was unclear what it was doing, but given that it was definitely on its own i made a swift calculation that it was not a summer making.

Lifted was my heart at the sight, though. Two together will surely augur better weather.

Where my little sister lives in Wetwood, there's a farm next door with loads of swallows flying round. Day we watched them,it was beautiful sunshine n quite warm. It's done now but belt it down since.........

We have had a greater spotted woodpecker drumming on the tree at the bottom of next doors garden for three days nearly all day! Some times being at home in the sun has some has some benefits!:stafford:
After being absent for a couple of days, I was out at the bin and what should I hear? WOODIE!
