Lot of noise coming from the BT building at the min, proper squawking by birds in flight.

I just heard similar on my walk to the train station. Can only assume this is a good thing for the 'annual guests' (even though I haven't seen them this year!)

I heard that yesterday and was going to ask on here what it might be. The noise sounded static rather moving so wondered if there was bird of prey nested up there somewhere. I didn't recognise it as a gull and the noise suggested it was larger than your average uk sparrow.

Like the first sighting of an Hungarian Cock Gobbler, it can be quite something to behold the beauty of some of our native species.

It's like being in the midst of an Attenborough production whilst 'someone else is eating or opening a window or just
walking dully along'.

We are only ever one step away from wonder - closer if we choose to be.

Over the past few weeks, a bird in one of the trees near me has been making quite a racket. It chirps four to six quick short bursts but constantly. A little bit of Googling suggests it may be a female blackbird but I'm not convinced. When it does it again, I'll try and record it, but do any of you have an idea what it might be? Cheers.

No particular time, but then I'm at work in the day so I only really hear it after 5pm although it gave an impromptu performance yesterday about 2pm.
