As above really, who's going?

Details are as follows:

Organiser: www.trackaction-online.co.uk

Date: Friday 2 March 2012

Signing On 7.30

Briefing 8.30

Start Driving 9.00 Lunch 12.30 - 13.30

End Driving 17:00 Approx.

Please remember to bring the following with you if you intend to drive.

1) Your driving license.

2) A helmet (these can be hired on the day for 10.00)

3) Clothing to fully cover your arms and legs.

Driver £130
Additional Driver £35
Passenger £10
Garage £20

I am going, and am willing to take passengers round the circuit in my car. The car is kitted out with harnesses and bucket seats and I have a spare helmet for those who need it. I'm not charging for passenger rides but please be aware that I accept no liability whatsoever if you are injured, killed, maimed or sick. None. Zilch. Zip. You will still have to pay the passenger booking fee.

I can book two passengers with the ticket, no one has signed up yet - so first two who want in can come. I only have two seats in my car so the second passenger will have to make their own way there or get a lift with someone else.

The event is being organised by a local person, and is in association with AA silencers, who also hopes to be there.

Right... i think that covers it!

Just a quick hello, I'm the guy running the event =D

Anyone who wants to sign on as a passenger doesn't have to book in advance, you can just turn up on the day, I'll be there in my car as well and am happy to give rides if you collar me when I'm heading out on track with an empty passenger seat.

If anyone has any questions please shout up.

No worries, late morning is generally best as I sometimes end up with more requests than time in the afternoons!

Now theres a thought, good and local too. You arrange and marshall it Gramaisc and guaranteed sell out.

As a pointer though I think there maybe a small amount of opposision from both the local good folk and the kids who already monopolise the 'ring' for their unauthorised racing......

I suspect that the police would probably marshall it for no additional cost to the organisers. Locals could be encouraged by being exempted from any entrance fees and concession charges - selling food and drink to the spectators hiring deck chairs to sit on their front lawns, etc. The 'kids' could have their first track-passes at no charge, to show them the benefits of an organised event. Pits in the Kwik-Save car-park - it all seems an obvious winner to me...

Just back from Center Parcs, you could hold some cracking rally stages around there. Maybe the Wildwoodring GP would be like the new Birmingham Super-prix. Really put Stafford on the map.

we've got a minimum on two guys going fom the garage, I'm just seeing if I can get a car sorted in time. We might close for the day and make it a works do if there's a few guys from the forum going. I've mentioned it to a couple of the guys who's track cars we take care of. Hopefully get the numbers going a bit.

I went there in 2002 a couple of days before the Belgian GP. Unfortunately it was foggy so never really got to see anything apart from the museum and the start/finish line (Castle?? ..... What castle?). We were in a hire car as well, so any ideas of driving the old circuit were definitely quoshed.

I won't be able to make the track day folks, I'm going to be navigating the canal system instead that day & the next two, maybe three. At slightly lower speed but more chance of a crash!
Have a good one
