Hi Everyone,

It was desperately sad to hear last night of the passing of Deborah James who did so much over recent years to raise aware of Cancer, specifically Bowel Cancer.

This news resonates a lot given that my wife continues to be affected by Bowel Cancer close to 4 years after being diagnosed. Last week she was admitted to Royal Stoke for her 5th operation to remove "nasties" from her lung and ribcage. She returned home on Monday evening and is currently recuperating in advance of future radiotherapy to manage a further tumour.

In October will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London raising funds for Shine Cancer Support, the only UK charity that support adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have experienced a cancer diagnosis.

They do amazing work in this space on a very limited budget. I fully appreciate that financially things are tough currently but if you're able to donate anything to this worthy cause it would be very much appreciated. Thank you !

Today was the Royal Parks Half marathon and I managed to get around under 2hrs. It wasn't without event as I had right Achilles issues half way around and the my right calf pinged on the finishing straight.... Still I did get a fist pump from Dermot O'Leary at 15k....

Thank you to those from the forum who donated, we've currently raised over £2000 with pledges still to come in !!!
