Pastiche has gone

Where can you now go for lunch in or close to town, that is as good value and quality that Pastiche was?
Any ideas.

TBH it wasn't that great last time I went as pastiche. Was alright, not brilliant though.

There's a voucher in this week's Newsletter (pg 10) for BOGOF (cheapest dish free) on the à la carte main courses, available Thursday - Sunday. I've just had a gander at the menu on www.lefrogbistro.com and it definitely looks worth a go. May have to try it out next week....hopefully they'll stumble across the Castle Tavern and Tequila Red threads on here before I go!

So is lefrog just a rebranding of the pastiche chain?

EDIT: Pastiche still exists, but only in Hanley. Sure some of the ones missing now appear in leforgs list. Interestingly still has the 'Tenner Tuesday' promotion listed, and lefrog says after the success of our tenner tuesday promotion... So yeah, guess its just a rename.

I don't think CR are open during the day any more.

They were about 2 months ago although I work on the Tech Park by the Uni so very very rarely go into town during the day, let alone near CR. I think the last time I went there for lunch was around the time Wookie and I worked together - 2005!

I don't think CR are open during the day any more.

No Chicago Rock Cafe is no longer open during the day (apart from saturday) but still have a good menu

Yup, although I tend to eat at the Uni as the Tasty Pantry gets very very busy (but it is good!)

And its now closed according to the Express and Star -that didn't last long!
