Does anyone remember Phil Jones and Good Deal Records in the 1970's. He had a store behind the Odeon.

Yes, Phil is still ticking along and living in California. He was back in town for a bit around July/August this year.

The shop continues on Wolverhampton Road, as Collectable Records, where it moved to after the Wooding's Yard years - run by Tim these days, who was there in the Yard years for a while.

Thanks for your help. I have wanted to contact Phil for a long time. I am stuck in a Saturday Afternoon memory of visiting Phil at his store after several drinks in 'Malt and Hops'!

OK, it may take a day or two to raise an alert, but something may result from it. Phil does like to use the phone in preference to other means.

I was in and out of the shop a good bit, mostly on weekday lunchtimes, our paths may have crossed.
