Can anyone recommend someone who does phone repairs , hubby sat on his and cracked the screen and not working at all now

I can only do them by replacing the full screen assembly (not cheap!). If it's just the front glass that has broken and not the actual display behind it then try m-viron as mentioned above

Him indoors went to get phone looked at I'm Market and guildhall and was told it was the LED was broke , price to repair £120 0r £85 depends Where he went

If that is the case then that price is realistic as the full screen assembly is around £75+

I'd offer to repair it for you Sandonia, but due to the extortionate screen cost I'd have to charge you £100.... and that would be doing you a favour! Obviously if you're going to pay more than that for a replacement phone then it might still be worth doing. Only you can decide.

Another absolute fecking nightmare mate. As a first attempt you are 80% likely to break the :LCD itself. I've tried once on a galaxy S3 and will never try to seperate the two again!

My OH has broken the screen on his Z1 compact twice. The first time it was an impact crack and Sony charged £90 I think. The second was a clean crack, and as it's a known fault they replaced it for free. Might be worth ringing up and seeing what they quote.

Cheapest I can get a third party to fix it is over £100 so I'll give that a go, thanks.

What's the z3 compact like? I am thinking I probably need to upgrade from my Nexus 4 as it's slowing down and at the moment that seems the best sim free option.

I really like it, I have the Z1 Compact and think its great but the Z3 seems snappier. The camera is amazing.

I'm considering the Z3 as well, but also holding out for the Z4 when/if it's launched over here (I suspect it will be)
