Picture framing service recommendation wanted

Hi. I have a picture I wish to have framed. Can anyone recommend a 'reasonably' priced one locally as I find Peach Gallery over my budget.

Thanks....

I presume the the Picture House would be about the same as Peach Gallery - but there used to be a picture stall on the Market, but I can't vouch for their efforts, or even whether there are still there or not.

Maybe ask in the new photo shop - where Direct Specs used to be, down the alleyway by Costa..

They have a Facebook presence - https://www.facebook.com/StaffordPhotoCentre

before you dismiss this outright, let me just preface it with a disclaimer: i am really very, very lazy, and not a DIYer by any stretch of the imagination.. the fluorescent tube went in my kitchen light over christmas and i still haven't changed it - i've been cooking in darkness/by candlelight for about 3 weeks (and counting) lol.. that being said..

i had 3 pictures/prints that i want nice frames for.. after having the same predicament you are in, i ended up ordering a custom sized frame from these guys and framing them myself:

http://www.picframes.co.uk/framestudio

it was so easy that even i could do it, and as i say i am the lord of apathy.. there are loads of options on the website - not just for the material/style/colour of the frame, but various mounting options and stuff.. they are really good quality, fit perfectly (obviously, because they are bespoke), and all in all i am really happy with all 3 :)

Cheers for this recommendation, have ordered the frame and see how it goes. Hope all ok with the bottles.....

let us know how you get on.. i framed 3 prints, one that was over a metre long, and they all look brilliant - hopefully you will have a similar experience :)

i'll try and remember to post a picture later on, hactually, of my favourite one - a silhouette of The Great Gatsby leaning 'gainst a rolls royce, made up of the entire novel printed in size 4 font :D

I have a print of this -

escher_up_and_down.jpg

- facing you as you go down the stairs - framed by my good self with reclaimed roofing laths, from when a house up the road was retiled, shaped with a router and dyed...

Does anubody have any more local recommendations for framing, please? I have a very nice picture I'd like re-framed and re-glazed.
