I've not been recently but I went last year.

Its averagely ok, they don't have a huge amount of choice.

My favourite of the smaller garden centres is Pipers on the A5 not far from Dobbies.

I like Johnson Hall Nurseries in Eccleshall (Not to be confused with Fletchers) a good selection of plants at really good prices & really helpful staff. The only downside is there is no tea-room & the loo is a bit grotty (but a little bird has a nest in there & regularly flies through the loo window!)

Theres also Greenheart plants at Hopton. Very small, famiky owned, no tea-room. (If its still there, be prepared for a long stay, the owner kept us chatting for hours last time we went.)

Yes I've been to that one, it's really nice and the owners very friendly.

Sugnall walled Gardens are good also, especially when the Plant Hunters Fair are there (or the Gin Jamboree).
