Nice to be back in Stafford afetr a weeks drinking in Eccleshall, Considering it's their own beer, the quality at The George is so inconsistent. Hit The Spittal Brook and The Crown at Hyde Lea last night.
Had a nice couple of Taylor's Landlord and a ploughmans at The Butley Ash nr Prestbury Saturday afto, very cosy when it's cold and pee'ing it down outside.

Ended up in the Greyhound on Sunday, just for one mind, can't normally cos of their no kids rule. They have Thatchers Gold on tap though, so would have been rude not to :D

EDIT: Bit OT, soz. I realise this is meant to be the Railway thread! However, if they happened to stock some better ciders they'd see me more often ;)

hi to all, we are now looking for darts, dominoes and crib teams to run from the RAILWAY INN.
there will be forms arond the pub for those interested to show there interest.
we will supply a snack at home matches and help with the running of all teams although team managers will be elected.
we also welcome interest from other teams ad organisations that may benefit from a meeting place and support from us.

Doubt it, as i've never seen him in the place. i ate in there fri 18th dec then went for a drink in the greyhound and bumped into the young chap. no mention of any business venture.........

Hmm....I have a feeling that it was a better option to leave his name on as opposed to delaying the opening of the :pie: mecca..
