I got Tiberian Twilight when it was on offer @ steam and I am not impressed. Is RE3 better?

I played the original C&C and RE1 and am a bit fan of RTS (and TLA's) would you recommend Red Alert 3 over Tiberian Twilight?

I must admit i have been a C&C fan for years and the way that red alert has skewed the timeline is great fun, but to be honest red alert 3 was a step in the wrong direction with the manga esque transforming vehicles and as for tiberian twilight that was simply awful, all the original game play mechanics were thrown out and the drm issue was guaranteed to alienate almost anyone.
It's a great shame that one of the most entertaining game franchises in years has to end this way, i think that the die was cast when EA took over Westwood studios.

I have RA3, got my bro a copy too, but neither of us play it. TBH I don't have much time for games nowadays, although I do like Tropico 3. Also just ordered 4 copies of Plain Sight, looks like a laugh

I agree with you about the Manga style graphics...well, I did til I bought a top end gfx card and whacked it up to ultra high

The water effects, and the superweapons...

I must admit tho, at the start, I was pissed off with the differences in the units between RA2 and RA3...like the Apocolypse tank no longer having anti-air, or there no longer being a Boris...but once you're in the battle, that all becomes irrelevant

I do like the fact that you can change the resolution to the max your pc can handle tho! RA2's resolution was somewhat limited

The online, network and co-op features of RA3 are epic tho!
