I'm aware of the many cats rescues around but just wondering if anyone knows of any rescues with kittens please? I'd rather not have black, purely because they are harder to see for motorists on a dark night. We offer a loving, permanent and knowledgable home for 1 or 2 people confident kittens.. Can anyone help please?

@dirtboxin maybe?

This little rescued guy and his brother will be joining us soon pending successful home check :D B'zillions of kittens in the rescues all over if anyone has space in their heart and home, especially black & white ones which no one seems to want :(. Personally I was happy having the ones that are hardest to home!!

Now we just need 2 unusual names.......Tesla, Chaos, Turbo and Claude are all under discussion!!

Tesla gets my vote for one.

I'll throw Trevor or Mr Meow Gee in the mix too, perhaps?

Bob Mortimer gives good names on occasion in his Twitter feed, if you're a fan.

Way back Anglia Televison held a competition for modern folksongs. One of the finalists was a song called The Phantoms of Suffolk. Basically along the lines that most phantoms drifted silently around but the phantoms of Suffolk screamed through the skies.

Interesting chat here - http://www.projectoceanvision.com/vox-06.htm - in the Quick Reaction Alert section, about a quarter of the way down, about the games that used to go on...

Weirdest thread hijack ever!!

Anyway, the kittnes have arrived, they have had a very bad start, found at 3 weeks old when someone was strimming so have been hand reared. They seem reasonably well, eating and playing, but my gosh they are tiny and very skinny. Hopefully now they are in a home with plenty of food and love they will come on in leaps and bounds. Plus all the fleas they had are now dead, very very dead :)

For names? Think we're going with Tesla for the confident larger one of the two and Tino for the very tiny baby one who just wants to be cuddled!! :)
Sounds very much like my own experience of kitten ownership.
The slightly larger confident one (male) was called Pudding because he scoffed all his food, and the more timid (female) Princess because, well, she was a little Princess, oh boy!?

They were found on some garage forecourt in Cannock.
Princess has since lost the accent!

Keep an eye on the fellas, male's are prone to roam.

Have you had cats before now?

These are both males but very different! Yes, had a couple of pairs of resuce kittens before, 1 pair of 2 males, and one pair of a male and a female. I always neuter at 6 months but yes, I agree, the males tend to roam and come home infrequently. I already have a wonderful big strong male tabby boy, neutered, chippered and well loved and fed, but he only comes home once a fortnight despite me having put a collar on him declaring that he has a home!!! Am hoping that black and white cats are more home loving than all the tabbies I've previously owned but realise this could be a forlorn hope!!

I'm sure they couldn't have hoped for a better home to live.

The cat survived the experience - didn't it?
