Residential Parking Permits

A week or so ago an anonymous letter was posted through my door advising that one of the neighbours has applied for residential parking permits to be applied to our street. The letter was asking for support to their request but the meeting to discuss this was the day after I received the letter and it stated 14 days notice of the meeting was required. Does anyone live anywhere in Stafford where residential parking permits are applied or have any experience of the processes & costs involved?

I won't hold my breath for anything happening within the not too distant future on my street then going on the length of time its taken the Castletown scheme to get as far as it has
