Is it quieter than Stone Road?

The traffic noise has really become a problem for me now, especially as I work nights and all I hear is vroom, vroom and the deep bass of some crap music thundering off into the distance as well as the lorries, buses and ambulances.

I'd say it is quieter, just not that much. Still a busy road unfortunately, you aint looking at a place with a pond in the back garden are you? :strange:

This would be fairly quiet? Far enough away from the Beaconside road I should think. Or this is the one I thought you meant, but it doesn't have a garage. If the flat falls through I may go for this one myself. Would a flat be OK? Cos this one is right in town but off the main road it seems.

Actually ignore the last, it is on the wolvo road I thought it was round the corner. Depends a lot on where you're happy living, there are also cheap ones on Exeter Street and one in Furness Grove.

Yup that's the one, except the site where I was looking did not have the pond pics and had it listed as having a garage, which apparently it has but it's not included in the let :-( shame, 'cos I was all ready to go for that, looks huge & the part furnished was a bonus. Back to the drawing board then.

Aside from going food shopping with mrs shoes (when I'm alone, amazingly, I can do the same amount of shopping in literally 1/4 of the time....) house hunting is one of my least favourite jobs!

As I said in the rant thread, estate agent websites suck! I found a few on rightmove though, depends what area you want. Also, my current place has a shed thats not included in the let, and the landlord stores stuff in it. This would probably be the same, with him coming round to fetch stuff when he wants it.

Looked at the flat, and am unsure.

As a sharers place its ideal, 3 double rooms and a big kitchen. Got 3 living rooms too, although you have to walk through all 3 to get to the kitchen (very strange setup). No neighbours whatsoever, so as much noise as you want, and within spitting distance of a chinese, chippy, KFC and McDonalds. However there is no outside to have BBQs, and the way into it is pretty dire to be honest.

Think I should wait for my bro and his GF to get back off holiday before I decide, as they're moving with me!

Well I'm off to Sandon Road now, move at the end of the month. You found anywhere yet? Saw this one at £535 with a garage.
This can't still be available some 4 months on and at the same price?

I've decided to stay put until the return of my very expensively restored Mini Cooper requires a garage, which I hope to be shortly.
