Has anyone ever located this cottage site.
I went up yesterday and found the track The Hole, it has three houses along it.
I suspect that the cottage may have been behind the first one up from Sister Doras as there is a big drop there.

Rock Cottage, Milford Hole

Rock Cottage stood on the edge of Cannock Chase, not far from Milford Common and was built into the rock, hence its name. 'Milford Hall' was the home of a number of families, living in what were originally squatters' cottages. Although now demolished evidence of the cottage still exists in the rock face.

Thank you Darben.

I go up to the Chase nearly every day walking the doggie, although I do tend to vary my route.

I will have a scout around the next time I am in Milford.

I do quite often come across things that are clearly man made which I think are from when it was a WW1 base. I know some of it is the tackeroo railway but I would love to do a history walk on the chase.

Is there one?
