Rugby Club progress...

Sorry I don’t know anything about a councillor being jailed 30+ years ago. If you are suggesting that there has been bribery involved that’s just fiction. Members have been emailed regularly about the access road. As I mentioned previously, 80% of visitors to the club are not members. Thanks.

So there were never going to be many people cycling or walking there if that's the case? It was always going to be traffic?

I cycled along the drive into the club a couple of weeks ago. I’m not a member but - with all the ‘hoo-ha’ on the forum - thought I’d go along and have a look around. It was a Saturday and there was quite a bit of activity with three yellow-jacketed personnel manning the barrier. I thought I’d get sent back but to my astonishment I was waved through. Have to say that (controversy aside) it’s quite an impressive complex.

Plenty of people walk and cycle there. I’m not sure what your point is?

My point is, that because you said:

At least 80% of the traffic into the club are not members - junior football teams, away rugby teams, representative teams, school teams, 5 aside football teams - we can’t ban people who are not members and I don’t own a speedometer. As mentioned, we’ll put signage up and speed bumps. We appreciate it’s an issue but the bulk of visitors are not members of the club

It's likely that there were never going to be that many people walking or cycling, and that most visitors to the club would be turning up in vehicles?

I guess we were never going to know until it opened. People do come by car, but also they walk and cycle to the club

Glad to hear you had a positive experience, feel free to come down again soon

No I don’t, I come on here and try to have constructive discussions whilst generally getting hassle for my efforts...
Well you say that, but if you do, then boo feckin' hoo - do you need a tissue? Have you no stomach for it?

You are the one who needs something - it's called 'validation' - and you are the one who came here for it.

I'm not going to console you for the loss you don't deserve.

Oh, he’s back! Sort of missed you. If I do need tissues, can I pop down to your next cycle jerk event to borrow some?!
Refreshing to see you’ve gone back to spouting utter rubbish and trying to get a rise. Sorry, I’m not playing that game

Anything constructive, positive to say? Bring something to the party? Again, highly unlikely

And what exactly have you brought to the party apart from "we are where we are" and "it's not our fault" repeatedly throughout this thread?

Have you contributed to any other thread on the forum, I doubt it?

Everyone that voices a contrary opinion is a keyboard warrior. The line is we are where we are so you should all now change your opinion. Its a poor defence.

You're up early for a late-night warrior!

Sitting at your keyboard in just your underpants, hammering away, no doubt...

I’ve not seen any rules that stipulate the need to contribute to multiple threads?

You know full well I have raised many more points than the two you mention. It’s Friday, maybe put your objective pants Warrior?

No, I disagree, a contrary opinion is fine - negative, unfounded, baseless statements make a KBW.
I am not looking for anyone to change their opinion, everyone has one and they are free to air it, I’m just putting mine and many others across

Have you sorted out the lights yet, the ones shining brightly over the Marshes at this very moment?

In days of old,
When knights were bold,
Ere condoms were invented,

Knights f@cked with socks
Upon their cocks,
And did so quite contented.

It's 'circle', not 'cycle'
