There was no need to spend your afternoons crumpet hunting. They were available on the bakery stall in the market. If only you had known.

I am reliably informed that George has passed on and is now collecting glasses in the sky. He moved to Stone a year or two back, perhaps as part of the always-intended journey to Crewe. There is/was a notice in a current/recent Newsletter from a solicitor asking if anybody might have a claim on his estate.

Another one gone.

My father, sadly missed, died in 1994, would be my mother making the bags

Thanks for remembering him, place in now a house, named Cobblers Cottage
