Samsung S3 - Best contracts?

Same thing happened when my Sensation received the OTA upgrade a couple of months ago. Biggest bigbear was that the clock no longer kept time (annoying as I use my phone as my alarm clock!) Was on the point of binning it and getting an S3 when a new update appeared about 3 weeks ago, fixing everything that had gone wrong. It's now perfectly fine again.

I'd give it a bit of time for the 'fix' to come through from your carrier to see if it solves your issues.
hmm.. who are you with, and what version of android & sense are you now running? i'm with t-mobile, i only got one OTA update, and that has left me with android 4.0.3 and sense 3.6 - it's been like that for at least a month, and it's so full of bugs.. it randomly shuts itself down at least once a week, and when it does it forces me to re-sync facebook & loses any customer caller ID photos i have.. and swiftkey is really sluggish, and doesn't remember emoji, which is annoying (it used to before the "update")..

it's so full of bugs that i've already decided i'm going to drop the buggy, fragmented android platform and just get an iphone 5 when upgrade time is here.. i've already got an imac and an ipad, so the iphone will just slot into my infrastructure beautifully.. the only thing i can see that i'll really miss is swiftkey - and that's nearly a dealbreaker, because i hate the keyboard on my ipad compared to swiftkey.. in fact, that warrants a new thread, i feel....

Every time I use an ipad keyboard I die a little inside, why can't they show letters in lower case FFS? On android its obvious, the keys change to show you what you are typing, but not on an ipad. Want a a? Then press A. Want an A? Well you have to press uppercase and then A. Retarded.

Sounds awful... i'll give you £5 for it ;)

Never got to like Swiftkey, Swype is so much better for me, but perhaps thats just personal choice.

If you won't sell it to me for £5 though, have you tried a custom rom on it? Sure you're capable yourself but i'd happily give you a hand if you wanted....

i never bothered, as there wasn't anything i needed a custom ROM for.. i rooted my old Desire & stuck LeeDroid on that, cos it was forever running out of storage as the stock memory management was gash, but the Sensation was brilliant to use and did everything i wanted it to - until this bastard update!

i googled briefly about rooting it, but it seemed to be more of a faff than the desire, so i never really got any further than that.. are there any "one click" solutions? i can't be bothered with installing that command line tool (can't remember what it's called, but it seemed to be a prerequisite for pushing commands to the sensation/other HTC phones) or getting tokens from websites..
