I lusted after an ipad but couldn't bring myself to go over to the Apple-side. I am writing this on a Samsung Galaxy Tab2. I am slowly mastering the touch typing screen and am glad of the forum editing facility. It includes access to the kobo book store and having sworn I'd never want an ereader, I adore it. Some apps that I like the sound of, aren't available and videos embedded into news stories don't seem to work but I can listen to the radio, access Flickr and receive all my emails. I love it and there are plenty of buttons I haven't pressed. Very frustrating when you've got a plaster on your finger though.

Indeed - it's 'value' not money, or it would have to go somewhere, and none of it has come here.

It's like imaginary money that has leaked out of somebody's head into outer space.

Our entire economy in a nutshell.

When your house rises in value by 50% over a few years where exactly is the money to pay for it? Its from them selling their house at 50% more of course! Is there any more money around? Have wages risen by 50%? Nope, its just an imaginary figure placed on an asset determined by how much the people who want it can borrow. If you offer them more credit, they force the prices of everything up ensuring what they owe is now only enough to pay for what they already had. When everything rises in value it merely means your currency is worth less.

Seems like someone wants money off Apple.

Things just get more and more stupid.
