Apologies for creating a second thread for this event. I didn't quite realise this would happen. Also, I didn't think the existing one would still be in the 'Pubs & Eating Out' thread.

Don't apologise; congratulations on being the first person to use the new Events system!

Even if a thread already exists for an event, I would encourage people to create a proper Event, as you have done here, so that it will appear in the Events Calendar. :)

The Events section is a joy to use! So easy! And it contains some brilliant features, like the google map to help people find the venue! Fantastic!

Ahem. As long as you use the right address, of course....

And full marks for changing to the correct date so quickly, too. And you thought nobody had noticed because it doesn't say 'editted' if you do it straight away..

Great night last night, first experience of comedy outside of the traffic near new look on a saturday. The venue was excellent and it was rammed from very early on. The cocktails were excellent, a huge range and very enjoyable. The only downside of the drinks was that they were running out fast of non cocktail drinks. Cider was gone before 8pm.
That said the compere Paul Savage was excellent, off the cuff for a lot of his stuff and just naturally funny. A greta link for the comedians. First comedian was a young fella called Red Redmond, I think this set the standard for the quality of the comedians here. We were expecting flat jokes, shuffling from foot to foot and enthusiastic amateurs. This was not the case, this guy, as they all were, was polished, very funny, and really very very good. You know when someone strips off to a leotard, rubs on baby lotion and stands on the bar you are in for a treat.
After Red Redmond was short sets by 3 comedians, Phil Pagett, superb in a similar vein to Tim Vine, very quick one liners. Heena Patel, although not my cup of tea, she went down very well, and Curtis Threadgold, a fella from the north west, again very polished, very confident, and excellent.
After another interval was the final act, which this page tells me is Jay Handley, he looked like Jesus, and a portion of his act was based on this, he went down very well and a very good show closer.
All in all, it was an excellent night, really well organised, very funny comedians, great compere, excellent venue and I also managed to win the goody bag of books, DVD's and CD's, which was nice. Would definitely go to another event.

Was part of the agreement for you winning the goodie bag that you had to write about it here. i managed to grab a seat for the mid set before going off to film .44 Pistol - Really excellent stuff, lovely to see a lovely place full, with lovely laughing people...

Enjoyed the night and was glad of the tip-off to get in early,as we arrived at 7.30pm when it opened and managed to get a table (and a couple of the Bulmers Ciders before they went).Within minutes the room was full but Juice Comedy was most welcoming when people arrived and really attentive, going off and providing more chairs.

A good laugh with a good crowd made for a really good night.

After the ciders had gone the gorgeous Juice Comedy Cocktails were going down my neck a bit too easily! Could have done with pint pots of it! :)

Thanks to everyone involved for a good evening.

Very pleased to hear such positive feedback!

It was a lovely evening, the venue was filled to capacity and we had to turn people away at the door (not to give an inflated sense of numbers, but the room holds about 60). I was very pleased with all the comedians involved, (especially as there was nowhere for them to rest but the small kitchen) and they gave excellent performances.

There was one noisy group at the beginning, hiding at the back of the room and talking consistantly through the first act. Luckily they left at the first intermission. Sadly this is always going to be the case if the event is free entry and anyone can walk in off the street, people who aren't really interested in comedy decide to come along, get bored and then disturb the show.

These few aside, the audience was enthusiastic and appreciative, big laughers having a lovely time! The JUICE Comedy Cocktail was also excellent.

Mr. & Mrs. Number 15 were very pleased and interested in further comedy shows, I shall be meeting with them later in the week to discuss details, so stay tuned!
