Difficult to help those who only want to spoil things for others with their own inacurate opinions so I have removed the thread sections that I wrote
Cheers :)

Eddie is obviously on commission. He resells this on behalf of another company, who is a registered distributor for Utility Warehouse.

It appears that this is different from Quidco / Topcashback as it is a monthly stream of cashback, probably dependant on your spend with each company. Depending on how much you spend per month, it may be more beneficial in the long term using Utility Warehouse rather than Quidco / Topcashback. For short term gain, you are probably best looking towards more well known cashback sites.

I reckon I'm one of the two callers and have to say the guy was very straight forward, didn't try to pressure me into anything and answered all of my questions in an open manner (no sidestepping). Am currently looking at my bills to see whether it's worth pursuing but as a very low energy user & not regularly shopping at the main outlets included in the scheme probably not, but on the face of it I can see benefits for family households.

I think we can safely ignore the statement by Numpty 1 and Numpty 2 who's comments I won't even grace by bothering to quote ! These forums are always over frequented with people looking for something to moan about and those know alls who have always experienced everything and can tell you how bad they were treated ???
yeah, not doing yourself any favours lol..

for the record, i have never even heard of UW, let alone used them, so i'm not criticising your product.. slagging off a community is not a way to drum up business though lol..

everyone and their dog slags off virgin media, but i have had them since they were comtel and i've had nothing but blistering service from them the whole time, so i understand the sentiment - you could just do with working on your delivery :teef:

I loved Comtel's administrative genius. When they first hit Stafford I signed up with them and they failed to turn up and connect me three appointments in a row I therefore cancelled. After chasing them for about three months to get my initial payment refunded they managed to refund me three times over a two week period.

I dealt with NTL a few years ago on behalf of somebody that they just wouldn't respond to - other than to send yet more random spurious bills. I had a great deal of experience of dealing with bizarre organisations, but NTL were, by far, the worst. At one point I felt it necessary to tell them that I wouldn't have their service myself, even if it was free!

But, if they're OK for you, fair enough...

Consider me Numpty 3 :) I may call as I do need to sort out MyUtilities.

Hate to be a stickler, but that isn't YOUR website now is it mate? Plus it's not YOU who will be picking up the phone should I ring.

You own a domain http://www.telecomplus.org.uk on that domain there is a page that redirects traffic through the Utility Warehouse affiliate scheme to www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk with your affiliate ID tagged on the end.
Unless you have been a very busy bunny I suspect that www.telecomplus.org.uk is owned by www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk and they use it for a few of their affiliates.

It's either that or you have set-up 235 different pages with different affiliate ID's (unlikely).

www.telecomplus.org.uk is a www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk 'catch-all' affiliate redirect domain.

I'm all for a little sock-puppet-theater but not just plain lieing.

You spoke to someone from www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk not J4kEddie.

I'm sure they are very helpful folk and I may call them. I think J4kEddie is a smart cookie too. I just REALLY didn't like the implication that www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk is HIS website and that he is anything other than an affiliate.

1 affiliate link deserves another said:
I am very impressed with the way this has been handled; points all round from me.

I would however, like to offer anyone who feels they have been affected the marketing methods used a way to get the help they need.
I was going to setup MyOwn 'website' but www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk has a sign-up fee of £199.75 to join thier affiliate scheme... Incidentally that seems to be the only thing you need to join the affiliate scheme: £199.75

You made that back yet J4kEddie? And as affiliate schemes go how is this one woring out for you? May be I'll even use your link when I contact them

Absolutely Rikki and if you have got one then you can add your name to the ever growing list of those who are getting far more for their £££'s in general

For anyone who thinks (jokingly or not) that this is any sort of a scam or catch I can personally assure you it is 100% up front and backed by a FTSE250 company
Hmm. A FTSE company like... oh, I don't know... Enron, perhaps?

Feel free to add me to the list of numpties: Utility Warehouse ARE f*cking sh*t.

Was a customer of theirs for 6 months and it's quite impressive how much they managed to balls up in that short space of time. Incompetent ball-juggling clowns.

No, they're really not and I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd be interested if they could get me better than the 24% (or whatever) I currently get knocked off eons standard tariffs. Oh, and take the topcashback into account too. Can you get a quote without talking to someone, cos I really can't be arsed with salesmen.

Funnily enough when an energy company spokesdudette came calling the other day and I told her what I get, she said there was no way she could beat it.

Reckon I spoke to the guy, no 'call centresque' scripting here, or any other call centre feel to the call which was incidentally returned to me on a mobile number.

I'm curious how this works then? However I don't doubt you and am not calling you a liar.

Surely they don't give every affiliate his own 0800 number?! Maybe that's what the £199.75 is for

If the call was returned to you perhaps they (UW) call the affiliate associated with you and get him to call you back?

I'm over geeking this now :better:
