That seems expensive to me; an adult pass to get me to Cannock and back five days a week is about £20. That is on Arriva public buses, though, while shoes's example may be on another service and thus be more expensive.

Newport is further away and in a different county which will instantly make it more expensive, however as a school child (i.e. under 16) you get a significantly reduced rate. Frankly, if you can afford it - and i know not everyone can - then it would be, in my opinion, pretty damned selfish of you to at least not look at adams which apart from stafford / wolverhampton grammar is probably the best school in the 'area'. For girls, the girls' high in newport is just as good, and about 1/4 mile from adams'.
