Serious incident - Lichfield Road

Travelling to work this morning, I see a couple of those bright yellow "serious incident - appealing for witnesses" signs attatched to lamposts just after the first GEC gate on the Lichfield road - on the way into town.

Any ideas what happened? Apparently 00.50 hours on 12/1/08.

I drove past this, it was pretty horrible. There were loads of cars pulled up and a group of lads all gathered round a body lying on the floor. Only saw one car that looked crashed and it was very badly damaged. An ambulance and the police turned up as we slowed down to gawp.

It looked pretty nasty.

Very sad...

I saw loads of flowers on the railings getting a lift home as I have a sprained ankle (and a bruised knee - but it's the ankle that makes it difficult to walk!) from being hit by a car on Monday.
